You may have heard of private labeling. People who private label often sell their items on eBay, Amazon, as well as their own website or store. Private labeling is in essence selling the same products others are importing from Alibaba, DHGate, or other sites.

The difference however is as opposed to selling the same generic window phone mount, phone case, fanny pack, or whatever the item may be. Someone who private labels sells these same items, however they come up with a name, and logo, and slap their brand on these same items. 

This allows the seller to differentiate their items from other sellers. This also allows sellers to charge more than their competitors, as though they are often times selling the same exact items, there's a higher perceived value to a "brand" or "label", than there is to some generic product from China.
