Here at RulesForRebels.Com were going to be doing a short series of posts titled “Adwords Tips For The Adwords Newbie” where we will share 5 tips a day on how to improve your adwords experience. Part One
1. One Word FREE - Free is a very powerful keyword that you can add to your ad, it may not do much but depending upon your subject matter it may make a world of difference. An Ad I’m currently running is about Storage Auctions. Adding free to this worked wonders as everyone is looking for free storage auctions, nobody wants to pay a monthly fee like most other sites are charging.
2. Don’t Use The Word BUY In Headlines - Buy isn’t a bad word to use as a keyword as many people will search “buy” mp3 player or “buy” Iraqi Dinar, however buy in a headline will automatically turn readers off to your ad. Also, just having a product name people will know they can buy it. You don’t have to waste the space in your headline or use the word “buy” people will know they can buy if your ad is for a product.
3. Make Ridiculously Stupid Claims - I’m shocked that this actually works but it does. Personally I’m automatically turned off as soon as I read something like make $1,000 per day from home, however for whatever reason these types of ads are really successful. Either people are really stupid and gullible or they are just intrigued and want to see what your talking about but this can be a successful ad campaign.
